Happy New Year!

Yes, releases keep coming very slowly, mainly
because our development team is very busy finding new
algorithms and new theoretical approaches to the
problem. However, we're working very hard on the
project, and we're looking forward to the next release.

Maemo port, Nokia 770 package

We are very pleased to announce that there is a
new port of Multi Platform RAM Defragmentation coming
alive: Version 0.4.0 has been ported to the maemo
development platform, and there's already a preliminary
binary package for the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet, so
you can defragment your free RAM as soon as this great
 device hits the shelves. The port is not perfect, yet;
we're working on making defragmentation of your
handheld even faster, and on nicer integration in the
 maemo framework.

The Multi Platform RAM Defragmentation project

libraries it looks better than ever but of course it
did not loose any of its defragging capabilities.

Finally, version 0.3.2 has been released, with new
features to ease automation of RAM defragmentation
runs. This is going to be the last release of
ramdefrag which uses GTK+-1.2; we're now working on
 the transition to GTK+-2.x.

Version 0.0.7 for Palm OS Finished

Version 0.0.7 of the Palm OS port has been
finished and is available at our download section.
Changes to version 0.0.5 mainly consist of user
interface improvements - for example, you should notice
that ramdefrag has another (hopefully nicer) icon now.
There are no changes in functionality because it
 already seems almost perfect.

"shortcut icon" for this homepage - just in
case you didn't notice it already.

Development Cycle Slowing Down

It seems our development cycle is slowing down a
bit. The cause of this are millions of other duties
our development team is involved in. Don't be afraid,
though, we're working on the next release - but it may
 take a while.
